Colquitt EMC Is Monitoring the Storm and Preparing for Potential Impacts

My Fellow Members,

Colquitt EMC is closely monitoring Tropical Storm Isaias and preparing for any potential effects on our system. The current forecast keeps the storm west of our service territory; however, portions of our area could still experience wind and rain. While our communities have been fortunate since Hurricane Helene in 2024, we know tropical systems can quickly change direction and intensity. We urge members to begin preparing now in case the storm moves closer to our area.

Reporting a Power Outage:

  • Save the outage reporting number: 1-855-293-1804
  • Keep your Colquitt EMC account number readily available
  • Download the free Colquitt EMC mobile app from the Apple App Store or Google Play
  • View the outage map
  • Log in to the Colquitt EMC account portal

Recommended disaster supplies:

  • At least a three-day supply of nonperishable food and a manual can opener
  • At least three gallons of bottled water per person for drinking and hygiene
  • First-aid kit
  • Prescription medications
  • Personal hygiene items
  • Battery-powered or hand-crank NOAA Weather Radio with tone alert and extra batteries
  • Spare batteries
  • Flashlights
  • Extra clothing
  • Extra cash
  • Emergency charger for mobile devices

Members who rely on electrically powered medical equipment should plan now for their needs during a prolonged outage. For a complete emergency supply checklist and additional preparedness information, visit www.ready.gov/kit.

Colquitt EMC will continue to monitor the storm closely and request mutual aid assistance if needed. Please prepare now, remain weather-aware, and follow Colquitt EMC for updates as we receive more information about Tropical Storm Isaias.
