NOTICE OF PURPA HEARING

Colquitt Electric Membership Corporation, in conjunction with one or more other EMCs, will hold a public hearing on February 8, 2023, for purposes of hearing testimony and developing a record concerning the following PURPA 111(d) standards, as provided by the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act.:

  1. Demand Response Practices
  2. Electric Vehicle Charging Programs

The joint hearing will begin at 3:00 p.m. and will be held at:

Colquitt EMC Headquarters

16 Rowland Drive

Moultrie , Georgia

The hearings will be conducted in accordance with the Rules and Procedures Governing Conduct of PURPA Proceedings, as adopted by the Colquitt EMC Board of Directors. A copy of the Rules and Procedures may be viewed here, or is available for inspection and copying between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. at the office of Colquitt EMC 16 Rowland Drive, Moultrie GA 31776. A copy of the Rules and Procedures also is available upon written request to Colquitt EMC’s mailing address:

The request must be accompanied by a check or money order for $3.00 to cover copying and postage.

The hearing schedule will be as follows:

3:00 p.m. – 5:00 pm Limited Appearance Statements

5:00 p.m. Testimony of Intervenors and Parties of Record

Please refer to the Rules and Procedures for rules regarding Limited Appearances, Intervenors and Parties of Record. The hearing schedule may be revised or updated. For updated information on the hearing schedule and on other matters relating to the hearings, please check the Colquitt EMC website, www.colquittemc.com, or call 1-229-985-3620.

Pursuant to 16 U.S.C. § 2631(1), the U.S. Secretary of Energy and any electric consumer of Colquitt EMC may participate in the hearing as an intervenor. To apply for status as an intervenor, an application must be filed with Colquitt EMC no later than February 3, 2023. Please refer to Rules 1.4 and 3 of the Rules and Procedures for important details regarding the procedure for intervening and for filings. Interested persons who do not wish to intervene may furnish oral or written comments as provided in Rule 4 (Limited Appearances). Please consult the Rules and Procedures for all applicable deadlines and other requirements.
